World of Warcraft Reveals New Druid and Blood Elf Customization Options

[ad_1]

Highlights

  • World of Warcraft’s upcoming Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream, will bring new hair colors for Blood Elves and new customization options for Druid shapeshifting forms.
  • Players can expect four new hair colors for Blood Elves, including lavender, forest green, light blue, and dark cyan. Druids will have a variety of new forms to choose from, inspired by creatures in the Emerald Dream zone.
  • The Moonkin form for Balance Druids will receive a major overhaul, allowing players to customize colors, beaks, horns, feathers, and more at the Barber Shop. This may suggest that Druids will become playable by other races in the future.

World of Warcraft recently shared a blog post detailing the new Blood Elf hair colors and Druid shapeshifting forms coming in Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream. Fans who play a Blood Elf or a Druid in World of Warcraft will want to visit the Barber Shop once the new content update drops.

Guardians of the Dream is World of Warcraft’s next big content update coming on November 7. Like many of the patches before it, 10.2 is adding a bunch of new character customization options players can choose from when creating a character, or when visiting an in-game Barber Shop.

Patch 10.2’s new customization options are for the Blood Elf race and the Druid class. Blood Elves are getting four new hair colors: lavender, forest green, light blue, and dark cyan. Druids, on the other hand, are getting a huge number of new customization options for their shapeshifting forms. Every one of their transformations gets at least one new form option, many of which are derived from the creatures found across the Emerald Dream zone in World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.

Here is the full list of Druid forms World of Warcraft players can unlock in Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream:

  • Bear Form
    • The werebear-like Runebear in yellow.
    • Umbraclaw, an owlbear, in brown, white, and black.
    • Foliage-covered Bristlebruins in green and ash colors.
  • Cat Form
    • Dreamsabers in blue, purple, and green.
  • Travel Form: Ground
    • Gladehart stags in green, gold, and ash.
    • Dreamtalons tiger-raptors in black/purple, blue, green/red, purple/blue, and white/green.
  • Travel Form: Aquatic
  • Travel Form: Flight
    • Somnowls in a purple Slumbering and azure colors, as well as the fiery Anu’relos, Flames Guidance skin.

The Moonkin form associated with Balance Druids is getting a massive overhaul, however. Instead of specific forms, players can now mix and match the colors, beaks, horns, eyebrows, whiskers, feathers, decorations, and special effects of their Moonkin forms at the Barber Shop in World of Warcraft, allowing them to customize it in a way similar to their Dragonriding drakes.

It is possible this overhaul to the Druid shapeshifting forms could be the first step towards World of Warcraft making the class playable by any race. It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but it has done so with almost every other class, and WoW seems to be moving its design philosophy in that direction. Players hoping to play a Blood Elf or Draenei Druid may just get the chance soon.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
