Star Rail – Guinaifen Team Composition Guide
[ad_1]
Guinaifen is a Honkai: Star Rail character that lives in Xianzhou Luofu. However, she doesn’t originally come from the spaceship planet, and her original name was Guinevere. Her good friend, Sushang, gives her the name Guinaifen, and she’s been adopting it since.
Sadly, despite being friends, the two aren’t optimal in the same team, so players must find other teammates for the performer. Guinevere is a Nihility character that plays around debuff and DoT damage, so she doesn’t have too many team options to begin with. Trailblazers who wish to have her on the team can try the following Guinaifen team comp in Honkai: Star Rail.
Guinaifen + Kafka + Asta + Luocha
The most obvious option to play with a DoT Honkai: Star Rail character like Guinaifen would be to put her in a team with the DoT queen, Kafka. Both Guinaifen and Kafka can trigger their own DoT, and with Asta’s assistance, their damage will rise higher. Unfortunately, as the team can be demanding in terms of Skill Points (SP), people might not be satisfied with a healer/shielder that uses too much SP. This is why a unit like Luocha is excellent for Skill Point-demanding teams.
When compared to Sampo and Luka, Guinaifen fares well in terms of damage, so it’s only a matter of what people need. Apart from the obvious Element, here’s what players can consider when picking one of the three Nihility characters in Honkai: Star Rail:
- Guinaifen: Excellent AoE ability and stable AoE weakness break, but not as optimal against single-target. Can cause the enemy to take larger damage via Talent, so she needs less SP.
- Sampo: RNG AoE Skill, but excellent at breaking weakness on single-target. Can cause the enemy to take larger damage via Ultimate. The most demanding in terms of Skill Points.
- Luka: The best option for single-target, but bad for AoE. Can cause the enemy to take larger damage via Ultimate. Can pop his Bleed using Basic Attack, so he’s the least demanding in terms of Skill Points.
Guinaifen + Hook/Himeko + Asta + Luocha
Those who don’t own Kafka don’t have to worry as they can instead play with a Burn-exclusive team. If a Fire healer is ever released, players can replace one of the Fire characters or Silver Wolf, making a mono-Fire team.
Sadly, despite being able to pop Burn DoT, Hook, Himeko, and Asta all have rather low multipliers on their Burn, making it hard for the performer to shine as bright as her fireworks. On the good side, the team has everything a proper party should have. Guinaifen is a debuffer and damage dealer, Hook/Himeko is a DPS, Asta is a buffer, and Luocha is a healer. This team is even more demanding in terms of Skill Points compared to Kafka’s team, so again, Luocha is the best option for a healer.
Players can also use Fire Trailblazer (or any Preservation character) and equip them with Trend of the Universal Market Light Cone, which can inflict Burn that scales with the wielder’s DEF. Keep in mind that Fire DMG stat also affects the Burn DoT damage, so the ideal option would be Fire Trailblazer instead of a random Preservation unit. Additionally, Fire MC is also SP positive, which can greatly help with the team’s Skill Points.
