The step up to the subway car from the train platform is noticeably larger than the real metro in NYC, as it hovers around mid-calf height on Peter. While the train itself is clearly massive, the passengers aboard are just as gigantic. A male character model stood in the doorway near Peter is observably larger, making for an imposing presence that could intimidate even the many villains in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While not detrimental to gameplay, many fans were curious as to why the subway trains and passengers are so large.

Why are the subways massive in Spider-Man 2?
