4 Dwight Fairfield
Dwight is the most iconic survivor in Dead by Daylight for his funny voice reactions, office attire, and interesting role in the game. Dwight was a geek during high school and tried to be one of the popular kids, but lacked charisma. He tried applying to the football team at his school but didn’t meet their requirements and his academic performance was subpar at best.
As an adult Dwight got into a dead-end job and was invited out in the woods for a team-building activity. Dwight’s boss broke out his family’s special Moonshine, but Dwight only remembers taking one sip. He woke up alone and abandoned by his work colleagues who left him during the night.
Dwight tried to make his way back but was snatched by the Entity and was never seen again. Unlike his previous life, Dwight took the role of a leader among the survivors and provided one of the strongest perks in Dead by Daylight. He now inspires others to work harder and give it their all in the endless trials.
3 Mikaela Reid
At 16 years old, Mikaela lost one of the key people in her life, which took a toll on her. Mikaela nearly lost herself but was able to recover thanks to the love her friends provided and her tenacity. After her ordeal, Mikaela discovered she had a taste for storytelling as an outlet and would always keep her friends entertained with her stories. One of her stories made it big at her local open mic Friday coffee shop, and she was invited to perform at a large Halloween event that promised a large reward.
Mikaela pushed herself to create the perfect story, but it drove her insane as she started becoming sleepless due to nightmares that ended with Mikaela waking up screaming and out of breath. She sought help from a friend to watch one of her nightmares and they both encountered a paranormal activity that her friend witnessed and recorded.
Her friend had gone missing for days, but she assumed he would show up to her story audition at the festival. While giving her story to the audience, Mikaela vanished into thin air after a thick black fog engulfed her, leaving the audience perplexed. Mikaela’s knowledge of witchcraft allowed her to bring boon perks into Dead by Daylight and has changed the meta through players using the best boon builds.
2 Élodie Rakoto
Born in a rich family of elites, Élodie spent most of her childhood exploring cities and neighborhoods. When Élodie was 14, she explored a private island with a new group of friends and discovered an abandoned laboratory. Élodie noticed scratchings on the wall in the shape of an odd circle. This triggered an out-of-body experience that caused her parents to disappear.
The odd experience caused Élodie to grow fascinated with the occult, and she would satiate her new curiosities by gathering artifacts from ancient civilizations that sought to fight the Entity, but it came with risks.
While exploring, Élodie was attacked by a member of an occult group and fled, but she was bleeding severely. Feeling faint, Élodie used her blood to draw the same circle that doomed her parents at the age of 14. When Élodie awoke she realized the Entity had consumed her. Élodie’s adventurous lifestyle gives her skills to fool killers and is used in the most fun survivor builds used by gamers.
1 David Tapp
Detective David Tapp didn’t care for money or praise, only putting murderers in a cell. After seeing details from the Jigsaw murders, he only saw the doings of a deranged lunatic who would end up in a cell soon. Following his hunch, Detective David asked his partner to help him in investigating an abandoned mannequin lair that might have been Jigsaw’s lair.
Both detectives caught a suspicious man, but he managed to escape and slashed Detective David’s throat with a blade. David’s detective partner chased the fleeing man but fell into a trap that took his life. David did not follow proper procedures by neglecting to issue a warrant, which caused him to be fired, full of guilt, and suffer a maimed throat. Rather than fall into despair, David kept himself sane by his new obsession with catching the killer and avenging his dear friend.
After following an evidence trail, David was at the right place at the right time and gave pursuit to the Jigsaw murderer. After ending up in an industrial building, David and the killer got into a fight, but David quickly lost due to being out of shape. With a bullet in his chest, David’s anger began consuming him as his guilt consumed his sanity and gave his last breath.
David awoke later in the dark world of the Entity and was back on the job of being a detective. David is considered among the best playable survivors as his perks allow him to use his tenacity and detective skills to help his survivor friends.
