After rumours of a leak regarding the broadcast date of the true finale of the Attack on Titan anime, an official premiere date has finally been confirmed after Pony Canyon released a teaser trailer to YouTube on Tuesday. Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 4 has been announced for a November broadcast date. Another trailer was released in anticipation of an online “Worldwide After-party” to celebrate the completion of the anime, ten years after the airing of the first episode.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 4 will be the true last installment in the anime series, and it will broadcast on November 4 at 24:00 JST (so midnight, November 5).

The trailer kicks off with Eren’s voice in conversation with something Armin said to him in the past, and he confirms what Armin said: he is indeed a “slave” to freedom. Various cuts of the surviving members of the group trying to stop Eren are seen in full combat against Eren’s Founding Titan.

The online after-party will be held from November 5 to November 8 and will feature fan participation aboard a virtual cruise ship, exclusive content, and a walk down memory lane for fans of the historic franchise. Immediately after the airing of the final episode of Attack on Titan, fans will be able to access the after-party from any internet-connected smartphone or computer.

The Attack on Titan anime series is based on the manga by Hajime Isayama, which was published in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021, running for 34 volumes. The anime has been running since 2013, with season 1 running for 25 episodes from April to September.

After a four-year wait, season 2 of Attack on Titan ran for 12 episodes from April to June 2017, and a third season split into two parts; the first of which ran for 12 episodes from July to October 2018 and another 10 episodes from April to July 2019. These first three seasons were produced by staff at WIT Studio. The series’ conclusive arcs had a change in studio to MAPPA, with part one of Attack on Titan: The Final Season running for 16 episodes from December 2020 to March 2021; part 2 running for 12 episodes from January to April 2022; part 3 was a single episode that aired in March 2023 and now, the most final part is set to arrive in November.
