Pokemon Fan Makes Neat Jirachi Animation

A Pokemon fan recently shared a neat Jirachi animation that they created themselves. Also known as the “Wish Pokemon,” Jirachi is a mythical Steel and Psychic-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 3.
Jirachi’s distinct feature is its star-shaped head, along with a third eye on its stomach that only opens when it’s asleep to give it energy. It usually hibernates for extensive periods and is only awake for seven days every 1,000 years. However, it’s still able to defend itself from danger even while sleeping. Whenever people catch Jirachi awake, they can make a wish and the Pokemon will grant it. Jirachi’s wish-granting was a notable plot point in the series Pokemon: Black & White: Adventures in Unova and Beyond, where Ash and the crew helped a young girl find the Pokemon in their mountain village.
Many Pokemon fans have adored Jirachi’s cute and unique design, which is why this character has been the inspiration of fan art, like one that imagined a Paradox version of Jirachi. However, the latest creation was by Reddit user and digital artist Strobothicc, who shared an adorable Jirachi animation. The short clip showed the Pokemon happily flying and bouncing up to a starry sky. In an Instagram post, the artist shared that Jirachi was their favorite Pokemon and that they had fun drawing and animating it.
The Jirachi animation garnered compliments from fellow Pokemon fans, who said that it was “cute” and “amazing.” Apart from this particular animation, Strobothicc also shared digital drawings in the past featuring other Pokemon and Genshin Impact characters, and sometimes even combining the two games.
Meanwhile, avid players of the latest games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can also get their own Jirachi in their teams. All they need is to use Pokemon HOME to transfer it from old games where it’s available, like Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Apart from Pokemon games, Jirachi has also appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where it dropped rare items before disappearing, and as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans have recently been enjoying the Teal Mask DLC, which introduced over 100 new Pokemon to the franchise and provided a chance to explore Kitakami. The next DLC called Indigo Disk is expected to launch later in 2023, and players could expect more Pokemon and story missions that would keep them preoccupied for the rest of the year.
