Warhaven Reveals Soulsdance Festival Halloween Event, Competition Mode, and More [EXCLUSIVE]

[ad_1]

Warhaven developer Nexon officially announces the pre-season 1 launch date, which brings with it a new class, a new Halloween-themed event, and a new ranked game mode called Competition. Fans can expect to dive into Nexon‘s new content and check it out on October 18 at 8 pm PT/11 pm ET.

Warhaven is a free-to-play medieval fantasy brawler game, where players must assemble two teams of 12 players and face each other in objective-based matches. Each densely lore-packed character also features unique roles and abilities, and players are even capable of transforming into Immortals—gods who feel called to serve a grander purpose. Warhaven is currently in early access on Steam as Nexon works to refine the content, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to miss out on the festivities.

Its Halloween event, dubbed the Soulsdance Festival, adds a handful of new skins for several Soldiers and Immortals to the game. Players can see some of these skins in action in the trailer, which highlights a Werewolf-inspired skin, as well as Little Red Riding Hood-inspired cloaks. Taking center stage throughout this Soulsdance Festival trailer is the new class, the Bard, and it kicks off with a very Shrek-like introduction of the character before showing them play music throughout the battlefield.

Warhaven‘s Competition Mode is also coming alongside Pre-Season 1 and the Soulsdance Festival for players who are high enough level. To play on Competition Mode, players must reach level 30 first, and this mode will unlock new rewards for Pre-Season 2 whenever it arrives. Rewards, understandably, are determined by the player’s rank come the end of this Pre-Season. As this is the initial rollout, fans can expect to see Competition Mode active and enabled for Warhaven‘s Onslaught, Dominion, and Arms Race game modes, acting as a sort of ranked mode for the brawler title.

All in all, it’ll be interesting to see how Warhaven‘s Pre-Season 1 pans out for the game and its ongoing development. The Bard class looks like a fun addition that may be able to spice up some team composition strategies, the Soulsdance Festival will add some lovely, season-appropriate skins to the game, and Competition Mode ensures early access players are able to stack up on some rewards ahead of the next Pre-Season. What that contains remains to be seen, of course, but it seems like Nexon is already planning ahead.

Warhaven is available now for PC via Steam early access, with a console release planned for the near future.
