In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, players are encouraged to find a partner and settle down on the farm as a family by the end of Year One. There are several bachelors and bachelorettes to choose from with various tastes and backgrounds. If players want a funny, laid-back husband, they should try their luck with Rock.
Rock is the carefree son of Lou and Tei at the Inn. He enjoys the easy life in Forgotten Valley and likes to spend his time relaxing and telling jokes. Despite his unserious disposition, Rock still has particular tastes in romancing him. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life players can use this guide to romance Rock and marry him.
How to Increase Rock’s Affection
If players want to move forward in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life after Year One, they must do so with a spouse. However, they will have to get close enough to one of the residents if they want to have a romantic relationship with them.
The quickest way to do this is to talk to them and give them gifts daily. Rock has a casual life in Forgotten Valley, so it will be easy for players to find him. He starts his day around 12:00 PM in the Inn and then heads out to the Forest around 1:00 PM.
He chills there for most of the day until he leaves for the beach around 5:00 PM. Rock likes to hang out near water, so he stays there until 8:00 PM. Then, he finishes his night at the Bluebird Cafe before returning to the Inn around midnight.
Rock’s Favorite Gifts
Players must put in some effort if they want to romance Rock. They can give him up to two daily gifts if they fall into different categories. Rock’s favorite gifts include the following items:
Toy and Mist Moon Flowers grow around the valley during specific seasons. Toy Flowers bloom in Spring, while Mist Moon can be picked in Summer. The Dig Site is available every day after 10:00 AM, excluding the 3rd and 8th of each season. Players will dig up gems, clay figurines, fossils, and gold, but Rock is only interested in the fossils.
Players can make meals on the farm. They will be able to cook Soups and Salads, but they can unlock better quality meals if they raise their cooking skills.
Festivals
There are two festivals players can use as an opportunity to increase their Affection level with Rock: the Summer Fireworks Festival and the Winter Starlight Concert.
The first occasion will be the Summer Fireworks Festival on Summer 2 at 6:00 PM. Players can invite Rock as their date and unlock memorable dialogue with him. The Starlight Concert takes place on Winter 5 at 6:00 PM and ends with a shooting star that players can use to wish they were closer to Rock.
All Rock Heart Events
If players have a high enough Affection level with Rock, they will unlock all his heart events. They can check their progress in the Bag menu under the Relationship Tab. Rock will have four heart events plus a proposal, engagement, and marriage cutscene.

How to Marry Rock
There are two options if players want to marry Rock. They can either propose to him or wait until the end of Year One. Takakura will approach players on the last day of Winter and ask if they are ready to propose to someone. As long as Rock has a high enough Affection, he will be among the suitors.
Players can take matters into their own hands if they want and propose to Rock before Winter 10. The only thing they’ll need is a Blue Feather, which will be gifted to them by the Nature Sprites. Rock will accept their proposal if he has eight or more hearts. Players can watch a wedding cutscene and choose the gender of their future child at the end of Year One.
